A recent survey conducted at the C&C's (Cycle & Carriage) showroom has shown that up to 74% of car buyers now know of DAB. With such a positive response from the market, Blaupunkt is all set to launch the Woodstock DAB 53.

The "Digital Recorder", as the DAB 53 is also known, is another innovation by Blaupunkt. At the touch of a button, it is now possible to record and play back digital radio programs on a Multimedia Card (MMC). This impressive new feature allows the driver to record Digital Radio programs while driving, and play them back again. In addition, the multimedia card and the integrated CD audio/MP3 drive make it possible to play music in the MP3 format, thus providing up to twelve hours of listening enjoyment from just a single CD-ROM.

The DAB 53 will be making its appearance in Singapore in the 4th quarter of 2003. Recommended retail price for the Woodstock DAB 53 has yet to be finalized. However do stay tuned for the latest updates! For more info on the Woodstock DAB53, contact Bosch at blaupunkt@sg.bosch.com

What's Digital Radio?
Digital Radio is a Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) service from MediaCorp Radio Singapore. It's Asia's first digital radio service.

What's the difference between digital radio and AM/FM?
Digital radio offers interference-free high-quality sound. Its unique digital technology removes the sound distortion caused by weather, electrical interference and tall structures that you sometimes her on AM/FM radio.

Is Digital Radio purely about offering great sound and music?
No. Digital Radio not only brings you high-quality sound over digital radios. You can also access details such as the song title, artiste's name, traffic report and even participate in quiz. There are also currently 20 PAD/NPAD graphic data services available on Digital Radio that range from news, traffic reports, weather, airport flight information, to entertainment news and an events guide.
