DAB service from MediaCorp Radio Singapore. Digital Radio now brings

Perstel DR601, has launched the Sangean DPR-15 portable DAB
radio in Singapore. It can be battery operated and has a long

offer, it is available at COURTS retail stores.

LG Electronics in Korea has developed a handset that can deliver
DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) services for the first
time in the world. DMB is an extension of the Eureka-147 DAB

audio and other exciting data services to mobile devices.

A new software developed by the Fraunhofer Institut makes it
possible to receive 5.1 surround sound via Digital Radio. During
the Medientage München 2004, Bayerischer Rundfunk presented
a programme in 5.1 Surround via Digital Radio with classical
music four hours daily (192 kbit/s).
