Digital Radio’s DAB System Maintenance Exercise

As part of our continuing efforts to improve on our Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) service, MediaCorp Radio will be conducting a DAB system maintenance exercise on Saturday, 31st January 2004 with effect from 0100 hrs to 0700 hrs (ie. from Friday midnight till Saturday morning). The completion of this exercise would enable the auto-switching on your DAB car radio from DAB to FM mode if DAB reception quality decreases severely. This feature is available on most models of DAB car radios. After it has automatically switched to the associated FM station, you may have to manually switch to the DAB station when DAB reception condition improves. If you have any doubt, please check with your DAB car radio dealer.

With effect from 7am on Saturday, 31st January 2004, DAB car radios with "DAB-FM-AUTO" setting selected will automatically tune into the FM frequency of the station currently being received if DAB reception
quality decreases severely as follows:

We would like to advise all DAB listeners to retune their DAB radio should they experience any loss of audio signal after 7am on Saturday, 31st January 2004. If you have any doubt, please check with your DAB radio dealer on how you can retune or perform an auto-scan on your DAB radio.
