WorldDMB Broadcasts Live DMB Mobile TV and DAB+ Digital Radio Services at The Mobile World Congress 2008

At the Mobile World Congress 2008, visitors experienced more than the basic benefits offered by mobile TV and digital radio. From 11 to 14 February 2008, in addition to the 27 DAB audio channels on-air in Barcelona, consumers were given the opportunity to tune into audio, video and interactive data services on DMB mobile TV and DAB+ digital radio.

TTP Previews the World’s First Bluetooth Headset Accessory with Built-In DAB Digital Radio
|

The Technology Partnership (TTP) has developed nanoDAB, the world’s first Bluetooth headset accessory with built-in DAB digital radio. The nanoDAB is being manufactured under licence by Refined Industry and will be available world-wide from September 2008. TTP’s nanoDAB digital broadcast technology includes both DAB digital radio & data services and supports the main open broadcast standards for delivering multimedia to mobile devices using Bluetooth.
TTP has been working with digital radio broadcasters around the world to define new visual and interactive for nanoDAB. These new digital broadcast services will enable mobile phone users with the nanoDAB accessory to listen to digital radio and to view, navigate and store visual content, such as images and slides which are broadcasting in association with radio stations.

Another record quarter for DAB Digital Radio in UK
|

|
According to record sales figures for DAB digital radio sets in Q4 2007. RAJAR, Radio Joint Audience Research, confirms more and more listeners are tuning in to DAB digital broadcasts.
RAJAR quarter four data released shows that DAB digital radio is the digital platform of choice for the majority of the UK listening audience. For the first time DAB digital radio listening hours have broken the 100-million barrier.
One million DAB digital radios were sold in Q4 2007 with 550,000 sold in December alone.
