| Digital Radio Given Green Light in Germany |

The 16 German regional governments have agreed to start the roll out of nationwide digital radio services, using DAB+, at the beginning of 2010.
Deutschland Radio, the national public radio broadcaster of Germany, will have access to one third of the national digital network capacity, and two thirds will be made available to private radio operators, which allow them to broadcast national radio services for the first time. The BNetzA, the frequency authority of Germany, now has the task of assigning frequencies and choosing the network operator for the planned large single frequency network.
In addition to DAB+, German broadcasters may continue with existing DAB services and could introduce DMB at some future stage. New digital radios able to receive
DAB, DAB+ and DMB are in production now and will become available during 2009, in time for the launch of Germany's new services.

| French Digital Radio Migration Plans Announced
|
|
The French Government confirms the future of digital radio in France with a new law requiring consumer devices and motor cars to be fitted with digital radio receivers.
The French government has passed into law its support for digital radio migration in France. By 2013 every radio in France will be capable of receiving digital radio services.
The migration to digital radio also includes the car industry, requiring that all cars sold in France from 2013 must contain a digital radio. With a significant amount of radio listening taking place in the car, the move is seen as an important catalyst for the success of digital radio.

| Australia’s Digital Radio Ads Go to Air
|
|
The Australian radio industry announced on 8 Apr 09 that the first advertisements in the digital radio awareness campaign went to air on the 13 Apr 09 across all commercial radio stations and in 65 languages on SBS radio in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
The radio ads complimented by online executions are the first step in raising listener awareness of digital radio before the progressive switch on of digital services begins in May.
The initial phase of the campaign involves a series of tease ads with the message "radio is going digital" and an extensive online banner ad campaign across all radio websites and many partner retailer websites. Phase two moves into ads that specifically outline the benefits and capabilities of digital radio and include widespread retail in store promotion and point of sale material. This will be followed by the promotion of a five state capital simultaneous national digital radio listener event in August.
